De naam Casg Annamh, Gaelic voor “zeldzaam vat”, verwijst naar deze drievoudig gerijpte expressie van de Banffshire-distilleerderij Aberlour. Na een rijping in Europese sherryvaten wordt de whisky overgebracht naar Amerikaans eikenhout en ex-bourbonvaten. Het eindresultaat wordt gedomineerd door uitgesproken sherrytonen, met verfijnde accenten van koffie en kruiden.
